Communication and education are a big part of the air quality program.  The success of the program is very dependent on the actions individuals in the region take based on their knowledge of the problem.

One of the key components to ground level ozone is the heat from the sun.  Because of this, the ozone season for the Eastern Panhandle runs from May 1st through September 30th.
